Quickstart

From zero to a working shared queue in about ten minutes. You’ll need a Google Workspace account with access to the group address you want to connect (e.g.dispatch@yourfleet.example).

Before you start: if the address is a Google Group, convert it to a delegated mailbox or connect the underlying account. Groups don’t expose the Gmail API.

1. Connect Gmail

Sign in at app.mailex.ai and choose Connect Gmail. You’ll pass through Google’s OAuth consent. Mailex requests thegmail.modify scope, nothing broader. The first sync indexes your existing labels; expect 2–5 minutes for a typical mailbox.

2. Create your first inbox

An inbox in Mailex maps to a Gmail label (or the whole mailbox). Name it, pick the label, choose an assignment mode (start with round-robin), and set a first-reply SLA if you want the clock visible from day one.

3. Invite your dispatchers

Settings → Members. Dispatchers can reply, assign, and close; Admins manage structure; Viewers are free and read-only. Teammates sign in with their own Google accounts. No shared passwords.

4. Work the queue

Open your inbox, press Rto reply or N for an internal note, and use Send & close to move down the queue. The three-slide tour covers the rest.
